Our Home Raffle launches on 8th June
Set just outside London, Elstree & Borehamwood (it's one area split in two - Borehamwood the more built-up side with all the shops and cafes, Elstree the more leafy side with larger houses: we're officially in Elstree) offer something that’s becoming increasingly rare — the ability to stay connected to the city, without being caught up in it.
In under 25 minutes, you can be in central London.
But when you come home, the pace shifts. The streets feel calmer, the space opens up, and day-to-day life feels just that bit easier.
This is an area with real character.
At its heart sits Elstree Studios, a place that has shaped British film and television for decades. It gives the area a subtle creative energy, something you don’t find in most commuter towns.
But what really defines life here is balance. You have everything you need within easy reach — shops, restaurants, cafés, gyms — without the constant noise and intensity of central London. And when you want to step away completely, green spaces and open countryside are close by, offering space to reset, walk, and slow things down.
It’s a location that works effortlessly for everyday life, whether that’s commuting, working from home, or raising a family - we have some great schools around here too.
And it’s a place that people tend to stay in — not just because it’s practical, but because it genuinely feels like a better way to live. I've lived here myself my whole life!
Living in this area is about having access to the energy of London, while enjoying the comfort and space of somewhere you actually want to come home to.
Hi my name is Daniel, and for a little while I’ve had a fascination with the raffle market and how its grown over the last few years and at the heart of it, how it changes people’s lives.
But what I’ve noticed is, most of them are companies, so what would it look like if the average person could raffle their home and give someone the chance to win it, mortgage free, all costs taken care of for £5.
People might say it’s a crazy idea, but Luckily my amazing wife agreed to come on this journey with me, (it wouldn’t be happing otherwise) so I’ve got the support of the whole family.
So what we plan to do it document the process from zero to launch (8th June) to competition close on 7th December 26.
We’ll be showing you how we’re setting it up, to gaining an audience of followers across social media from scratch, behind the senses videos, creating the content, which raffle hosting sites, legal decisions (although we are not qualified to give
advice so please seek your own) what it costs, PR avenues, working with affiliates and influencers so you can see exactly how we do it.
I’ve lived in Elstree and Borehamwood for 42 years, I was born here, I met my wife here, and we had our children here, and our dog Story. The area has served us well and I can truly say the balance of tranquillity and nature balances my everyday life of working in the city. We’ve been in this home for five years after doing a going big renovation on and It’s been a great place to live.
Come follow our journey – we hope you enjoy the content
P.S good luck in the raffle!
This competition is hosted on Raffall.com and is a legally compliant competition draw which
runs from 8th June to the 7th December. For full details of the prize, entry methods available

Having observed the raffle market for some time, only a hand fully of people have tried to raffle there home.
I saw this as a great opportunity to change one person’s life, while offering the opportunity of winning a £1.6m home up to everyone.
If I’m honest there is also an exciting element of learning about social media, content creating and rising to the challenge of it all.
Hopefully by documenting the journey, the possibility of raffling a home will be open to everybody following the process.
The winner may not want to the house or its location and see greater value in taking the cash. This could also be true in the event of a non UK resident winning.
This is on the advice of Raffall, having been involved with property raffles before. We’re not a business with deep pockets or a big reach.
It takes time to build and audience and gain trust.
Without being able to spend ten’s of thousands on advertising and marketing, we have to rely on making content, posting videos and hoping publications and news outlets see some
interest in the story.
We want the raffle to be a successful as possible and thus 6 months is the minimum advice to make it so.
Raffall is a well known and trusted raffling platform, both compliance and legal with gaming rules and a recognised registered raffling site in the UK with thousands of completion’s having been run.
Without Raffall, it wouldn’t be possible to run this competition given the requirement need to meet and the complexity and logistics of selling tickets and running the admin that goes with it.
With over 23,000 Trustpilot reviews Raffall have created thousands of winners through their platform.
At competition close Raffall will transact the property through solicitors providing the minimum paid ticket target has been met – this target is to ensure the property value is met and all costs associated with running the raffle have been covered.
In the event the target is not met the winner will receive an alternative cash prize based on ticket sales.
Please look at section 7 Eligibility on the Raffall Terms page
On Monday 7th December at 12:00 GMT
After purchasing tickets you'll be able to see on the Raffall page what the total number of tickets allocated (paid + free promotional) is, which relates to your odds of winning. They do not have a facility to also disclose paid ticket numbers. I intend to give occasional updates on social media to keep things transparent
As the competition is being hosted by Raffall, all of the terms and conditions can be found on their website here.
